A fond farewell

This is a sad post for me to write. But as they say, all good things must come to an end.

I remember way back in 2007, shortly after I started my own Stamp Company, I fell in love with the artistic talents of Asela Hopkins.

Asela was my first EVER guest designer. Our company was so new and I couldn't believe that someone of her calibur would even consider working with my stamps! We became good friends after that and she became part of our Stamps for a Cause design team.

As she began designing stamps for another company, I was instantly in awe of her drawing abilities. What this woman can do with a pen! WOW!

When she stepped away from illustrating, she and I began to talk and I convinced her, (more like begged her,) to design some images for me.

Every thing Asela drew blew me away. I couldn't wait to stamp with her beautiful hand-drawn art. Her very first stamp set with us was Botanical Dreams.

Although I love everything that Asela draws, I am partial to her realistic images like her flowers and fruit.

When Asela and I talked about her leaving, she explained her reasons and I totally understand. That is truly one of the things I love most about her- her honesty, integrity, dedication to her family, friends and her church. She is such a class act.

We are blessed to be able to continue to carry her beautiful line of stamps which makes me so happy because they are some of my favorites.

And, I told her that ANYtime she is ready to come back to the biz, our door is always open. She can always come home.

So, with that, I will say, thank you Asela for the last four wonderful years of talent and friendship. Although we may not be working together for a while, our friendship will NEVER end. And for that, I am the most thankful.

Hugs,

Gina K.

P.S. I will back later today to announce our April Blog Hop winners. XOXO

  6. People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
    Some people
    come into our lives
    and quickly go..

    Some people
    become friends
    and stay awhile...

    leaving beautiful
    footprints on our
    hearts...
    and we are
    never quite the same
because we have made a good friend!!!

Sorry to bother you this way, but tried to email you via the website and it won't let me. I am having issues with the Gallery and my Favorites have disappeared as well as the option to make certain cards or photos a favorite. I am signed in. Any ideas on what is wrong? Anyone else having any problems? Am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks
