We had so much fun at our release party last night! For those of you who joined us, you know how fast and furious our party chat thread was moving! I am SURE I missed a ton of questions so I will take some time this week to reread the thread to see what I missed. :)
Today, the design team has put together the first of three blog hops featuring the new stamp sets and patterned papers released last night.
Stately Flowers 3
Melanie Muenchinger's newest addition to her state flowers series is a joy to stamp with. In the Release Party Presentation Video, I show you the way I like to color the Forget-me-Not flower in this gorgeous set. You will love the huge images and fabulous greetings. And although they are so much fun to color, they also look stunning embossed in gold or silver. Matched with the new Wisteria Lane Patterned Paper Pack, the purples in this card make you feel ready for spring!
Mehndi Wishes
Rupa Shevde's newest stamp set, Mehndi Wishes, takes this gorgeous Indian style art and turns it into a uniquely fun stamp set for crafters like us. You will love the beautiful images that work as both focal images and decorative backgrounds. And the greetings are a must have for your collection. In my sample, I use the flower image as a background and follow the lines with a Stardust pen to create sparkle and shine. And the greeting I chose for this card creates a feeling of encouragement and peace. (I'll be making a few refrigerator magnets and desktop things with this greeting because it serves as such a positive reminder.)

ReplyDeleteSuch a fun release party! I love the new stamps and especially the patterned paper packs!!
ReplyDeleteI am new to copic markers and as I looked at the stamps, especially the stately fowers, I can see so many possiblities. Thank you for the beautiful inspiration.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these cards are really beautiful. I'm very excited about the new papers and stamps. I love how you did the Mehndi Wishes background. The glitter pen was just the right touch. I enjoyed the release party but did not join in on the live chat as I was viewing it & stamping at the same time!! A big thank you for all of your inspiration and creativity & sharing it with all of us!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty cards! It seems when you use the Star Dust pen it adds just the right touch. I love all the flower stamps. I am looking forward to your new papers too! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you put those cards into this blog, because there was no where to leave a comment for you after I watched the video. That was an incredible video you put together. I've watched the last few of them and they just keep getting better. When I watch you color, it always gives me new ways to color my own projects. Until I started coming to Stamp TV, I would never color because I just wasn't good at it and I would ruin my projects. The best technique I ever learned from you was the Copic blender pen taking away color. And now, you gave me another way to make my flowers more striking with the technique you used on the forget-me-nots. Thank you so much for this wonderful website Gina (and all those who contribute to it).
ReplyDeleteAbsolojutely beautiful & I love those stately flowers.
ReplyDeleteGreat video showing us all the new releases and tips on how to use them.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I told hubby tonight I need some funds for stamps!
ReplyDeleteWonderful release Gina - again! Yup, did my shopping - now will be stalking the mail lady!

ReplyDeleteLovely cards. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLove these cards makes me want to get busy with making cards and not doing anything else..thanks for the great work
ReplyDeleteI love this flower stamp. It has a fresh modern look in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all you do, Gina. You've added so much to my life. Thank you especially for the way you demonstrate the use of copic markers. When I hear other people teaching about copics, I get very tentative about using mine. Then I watch you demonstrate them and I wonder what I was so nervous about. It's really quite straight forward when you teach it. You encourage me (and everyone) to try new things. That's such a valuable skill! Thanks a million times over!
ReplyDeleteLoved the video ideas! Thanks so much for creating them.
ReplyDeleteLoving that Wisteria Lane Paper!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Gina. Love the coloring and paper patern.
ReplyDeleteI love how you layered the ribbons on the flower card. The purples and greens are lovely in the flower, ribbons and pp. The Mehndi look isn't really my style, but it looks lovely as the background with the bits of shimmer.
